The EDENDEWPICS were created by organic fungi based changes to photographic slide transparencies subjected to airborne chemicals and heat over many years – two of the same catalysts that cause global warming/climate change. The changes to the emulsion structure of the transparencies are dramatic photographic metaphors of Planet Earth ravaged by global warming and climate change. Of course, it’s an absolutely different approach from creating photography...not a single click of a shutter was required!
We must approach climate change and global warming with a positive attitude. Already, Australian industries are designing and manufacturing innovative green technologies; consumers are recognising the need to re think their lifestyles and governments are at last addressing the critical issues of climate change.
I think of the DEWPICS as the story of the photo iconography of our ecological malaise. They take you into a future that has become the present; a reality we all can relate to.
I invite you to allow the images in the exhibition to stimulate your imagination.

A show of solidarity amongst artists and those more actively involved with the preservation of the planet's natural resources, not to mention just the majestic organic beauty, but what is home to the myriad of animals, otherwise lost and homeless (do I mean dead and extinct). This is a group exhibition by artists who love trees and forests and think they should not be stupidly cut down
